Mobile Cable Spool

Each mobile cable-spool-mounted rover will travel first to a fission power system and establish contact through a magnetic interface for distribution.

The power cable distribution rovers simultaneously embed the power lines into shallow furrows dug by trenching attachments above the hard Martian surface ice level to prevent them from becoming damaged and disrupted by crossing vehicles.

In the case of the Core Habitat Module connection, the cable distribution rover extends its line to full length, the terminal extremity where the module’s automated carrier chassis accurately delivers it for power hook-up.
